Most Australian Teens Still on Social Media Three Months After Under 16 Ban Began, Study Finds The Australian government's ban on social media for under 16s has been in effect for three months, but a recent study by eSafety reveals that more than 8 in 10 Australian teenagers are still using social media.
The report found that nearly 60% of teenagers reported using social media daily or more often, with half claiming their accounts were not checked for age.
Many children aged between 10 and 15 are continuing to use platforms just as frequently as before the ban.
