Sydney's Toll Roads Get a Modest Makeover The New South Wales government's long awaited deal with motorway operator Transurban has been announced, bringing some relief to drivers on four of Sydney's major motorways.
The agreement is touted as the largest shake up of tolling in years, but its modest reductions and omissions have left many questioning whether it truly addresses the affordability crisis on our city's roads.
The deal will see tolls on the M7 and M2 decrease by 10% from July next year, while the cap on distance based trips on these motorways will be cut by 5% from January 2028.
