Soldier Killed in Iraq Identified as 30 Year Old from North Carolina The recent spate of Iranian attacks on US military bases across the Middle East has left a trail of casualties, with nearly 100 American service members injured and several killed in the past month alone.
The latest fatality to be reported is that of Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, a 30 year old from North Carolina who was killed during a controlled explosion of an Iranian drone at Erbil Air Base in northern Iraq.
